The Merivale Group has announced it will close Ms.G’s in Potts Point, after 15 years of trading in the inner-city suburb.
The group made the announcement on Facebook on Tuesday, bidding adieu to the eatery to focus on other projects.
“On December 21, after 15 incredible years in Potts Point, Merivale will say goodbye to Mr.G’s as we look ahead to an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation, with several new venues and development projects underway,” Merivale said.

“Our Executive Chefs are also expanding their portfolios, including Dan Hong with his newly opened Chinese diner, Good Luck Eating House.”
Merivale praised the history of the eatery.

“Dan Hong and Jowett Yu opened Ms.G’s in 2010, serving up bold, no-rules Asian cooking. The crazy flavour packed venue quickly became a trailblazer for Merivale and set the stage for Mr. Wong, which opened in 2012.
“Ms.G’s has been a beloved part of our Merivale family and local community, and an influential part of Sydney’s dining scene.
“We’ve loved every memory, meal and moment you’ve shared with us and we’d love to see you before December 21 so we can send you off properly … with one last plate of our cheeseburger spring rolls.”
On Instagram, a number of fans shared their disappointment.
“So sad to hear this,” one person wrote.
“Wow, the end of a chapter,” another added.
“Such sad news,” another wrote.
